“We had our own system in place for business management, which included formulas, inventory and financial information. We needed real time interface with our SAP system, so we were looking for a company that would understand what we had in place and how to link to it without disruption. Repete’s project engineer spoke the same language as our IT people.

“Through the whole process, Repete stood behind their product and made changes until the system met the specified requirements. They are unique in their willingness to adapt to customers’ requirements.”

“We needed to upgrade our automation because our old system was mid-80s technology, with limited memory.

“So, we held a roundtable meeting with our accounting, nutrition, maintenance, feed production, transportation and communication departments, to decide on goals for this automation projects. We agreed we wanted to reduce downtime, improve feed production, speed up loadout operations, enhance security and record keeping and establish data transfer within our business systems.

“After looking into automation options, we chose Repete, because their platform is Windows-based, user friendly and can be easily upgraded to accommodate changes in our operations. Plus, Repete has a strong commitment to customer support, and that is extremely important to us.

“To help us manage the change, Repete assigned a ‘team’ to our project. They visited our location, talked to the various departments and became very familiar with our operations. Their knowledge, skill and experience put us at ease.

“A change such as this one, encompassing total automation of two feed mills, meant we had to schedule the project in phases so we would not interrupt feed production. Every phase was thoroughly reviewed before implementation. We were provided electrical drawings, a written description of operation and a computer simulation program to train our staff. When the time came for implementation, we were ready to automate.

“It was obvious from our planning sessions that Goldsboro Milling and Repete had common values. We both believe in attention to detail and rigorous preparation. Both companies know their people are their most valuable assets – and that trust in those people pays off. One of our mottos is ‘do whatever it takes to get the job done.’ Repete has that attitude as well.”
